Guidelines for Pets On Board
Types: Dogs, cats and birds only
Age: Must be at least 8 weeks old
Weight Limits : You can carry a pet on board if the total weight of the pet and kennel is 5 kg or less; a pet must travel in the cargo compartment if the total weight is between 5 kg and 32 kg.
We can carry a pet in our cargo compartment if the total weight is between 33 kg and 45 kg, but please note that certain countries do not permit the carriage of pets in this weight classification due to their regulations. You can contact our service center for information about the applicable countries and restrictions. (Your pet should be transported by freighter if the total weight is over 45kg.) Restriction for Pets
Number of pets per person: You (except for Unaccompanied Minors) are allowed a maximum of three if one is a carry-on and two travel in the cargo compartment. The one exception of being allowed two as carry-ons is if they are the same breed and under 6 months of age.
Number of pets per aircraft: The number varies by aircraft, but all are restricted due to safety reasons. Please note that no pets are allowed on Boeing 737 international flights.
Transportation of pets can be restricted depending on your destination.
Restrictions on the brachycephalic breeds(Dogs, Cats) transportation of domestic flight operated with narrow body aircraft from July to September.

Service Animals (Dog only)
Permitted on board at no cost for passengers with special needs. The dog must sit in front of the passenger and quarantine certificates are still required.
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, mentally handicapped people with an emotional support animal must carry a medical statement issued within a year of their departure date; emotional support animals are only allowed in flights departing/arriving in America. Please contact the Korean Air Service Center for details.
